Take A Little Time

Back story. This instrumental is in honor of Walter's dad. Once in a restaurant he dad let loose with a loud fart. When everyone looked at him in amazement, he simply said loudly, "Tight shoes". Made an impression on young Walter, and we are glad because this guitar is worth every meal on the menu!

Jake Bugg - Simple As This

"Mining for treasure deep in my bones that I never found."

This cut is from his first album, the one that pulled me out of music-writing retirement when I wrote this. It's re-released in 2014 because it's an integral part of the soundtrack for A Fault In Our Stars. The rest of the soundtrack is typical pop fluff, and will delight the youngsters. I will say the soundtrack doesn't hold up against the power of the book, which everyone should read. Jake's cut gives me solace that perhaps the movie will invite more people to the book.

Simple As This

"Tried liberation of my own free will
But it left me looking to get higher still"
