Black Angels - Better Off Alone

Well, I won’t lie. I was attracted to this cut because of a great voice that, yes, reminds me of someone else’s voice. But I don’t mind. The voice fits just perfect with the wandering guitar and steady drums. The organ sounds in the background are slight, but accent the sound perfectly. The imagery even reminds me of the imagery I’ve come to expect from the voice. “Punish yourself on the weekend/Sneak into the bar/Open up that bottle/All that whiskey’s gone//I’m better off alone”.
