Liam Frost - The City Is At Standstill
Perfect pop song. “And how will they speak of us when the night is gone?” Who cares? “So let’s dance!” With this power dance there’s interweavings of the truth that war creates loss. Deep loss. But sometimes we just need to forget about the fact that for “every crooked politician there’s a thousand more” that do their best to keep our lives in constant upheaval, and from time to time we need to “forget about the loss that a lifetime brought our way” and enjoy the moment. It’s great how Liam is able to pack all this with joyous sounds and a choir-like flavor of good old fashioned southern comfort. It’s both exhilarating and scary to see how well he’s able to capture the truth about why people need to escape. Perfect Friday song where we “drink till we both feel numb/and lie down to sleep/I feel like I ran all day.” Liam Frost
