The story begins nearly samba in flavor. Lots of sweet spices to brighten up a day with sunshine. “Wait, don’t go. You have forgotten me. When did you go? I haven’t seen you in years.” The narrator is not living the sweet sunshine of the tune, but has found the tastes to bring me, as a listener, above the feelings and simply enjoy the story. We’re not going to stray into tears, but we know that the storyteller has had a few times that had to be dealt with and overcome.
