This song begins like a visit over the high deserts of Africa, gathering spirits from every edge of the world, but quickly joins a solid ground until the chorus. At that point we are transported high above the arctic with voices freezing into each other in the atmosphere. Very cool trick – I really like this experience. It’s like we’re being given the opportunity to fly along the magnetic forces of the earth. I can see how that could get old if these tricks were used throughout the album, but Loquat was wise enough to only use this mind-blowing trick on Harder Hit. Shoutouts for the more down-to earth production of Who Can Even Remember and In My Sleep. Loquat
